Mae & Rae Branding
Mae & Rae is a local business that creates handmade polymer clay earrings. Kristina reached out to me for a brand identity for her small, but quickly growing business. For this project, I wanted the logo to portray the unique and handmade quality she provides in her work.
I sketched out a full page of ideas in my sketchbook, and Kristina narrowed it down to these three:
The first option was easily eliminated since it did not have a clear ampersand. Kristina loved the second and third options, but wanted something in-between the two, since the second version was too simple, the third one too detailed. I went back and provided a fourth option, which became the final logo.
